I asked the Antivirus responsible and he was not able to find it. So I am looking for other knowledge.

Don't understand why you do this way, can you explain me more, do I create two package or just one?

The "Creating the AIP" means it creates a copy of the MSI with external files.
"Patching" means you merge the MSP with the MSI.

The new MSI is now the same as the "original" MSI + the MSP and ready to be deployed.

Hi Ilian

I wouldn't recommend using an AIP in this case but instead use the McAfee Installation Designer. This tool can be used to create a customized McAfee VirusScan Enterprise package (including the patch).
The MID can be downloaded here (using your GRANT-Nr).

Furthermore I'd recommend using ePolicy Orchestrator to manage and update all your clients (also available through the link above, depending on your license).

By the way, you can already download Patch 6.1 through the McAfee Service Portal.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.

I agree 100%
Installation Designer 8.5 will do this. That is how we deployed 8.5.
Also ePO 4 is great, it will install, update, re-configure, etc.
Also, if you have your grant number, you can download a install of VirusScan with Patch 6 already integrated.

use system variables... eg:

framepkg.exe /INSTALL=AGENT /INSTDIR="%PROGRAMFILES%\McAfee\Common Framework\EPOAGENT3"

Maybe:

framepkg.exe /INSTALL=AGENT /INSTDIR="%SYSTEMDRIVE%\EPOAGENT3"

INSTALLDIR=\"C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\"

I need to detect if the email scan option is enable or not. I cannot identify the registry key/value. Any idea?
