Microsoft acquisition of Softricity complete!

I think the key thing here to note is the prices are coming down! Zero touch will be included in the price and the SMS connector is free. This was my biggest gripe in making the product competitive with Altiris now it looks like they can make a more compelling offer when it comes to price.

The price cut is good news but I'm still worried about what they're going to do to the product.

Microsoft has a long history of acquiring companies with great products and promptly turning the products into garbage. Giant's Anti-spyware product comes immediately to mind.

I'm cautiously pessimistic.

Here is the current summary of changes. I felt it best to post this because I am honestly unsure of what information I am allowed to publically disclose. Ayway here is where things sit. The biggest news is definately the pricing structure.
