How did you install this plugin? Check your registry first under:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
and search for your ABL Forms Editor entry...chances are there is an uninstall string that you can run (eg. msiexec.exe /x {.......} )
if not, does the plugin have a website where they might have a support page?

Hi Mattski,
There is an uninstall string but the addins tab is not getting removed after uninstallation. - ankita_g29 11 years ago -
When the application is getting installed, it creates a addin tab and inside that it creates two ribbons which are related to the application. But after uninstallation the tab along with the two ribbons are sustained.

Ok I see...what most probably happened is that the uninstaller removed the plugin but did not update the ribbonxml file in Office Word. Find the XML file, search for the ABL plugin and remove the nodes (backup this file first!)
Here is some documentation to shed some light: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338202.aspx - mattski 11 years ago -
Ok..but the file location will be different for each Microsoft version installed on the machine..
exactly where this file needs to be kept to disable the tab. - ankita_g29 11 years ago -
Look in folder "%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\" - mattski 11 years ago

There is one normal.dotm file present in the location you told. But this file has settings for Word application so it can't be deleted. No idea how to remove the ribbon from word. - ankita_g29 11 years ago

have you also checked in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\Addins" ? (I used Office2013 as an example) - mattski 11 years ago

What should I check in that folder???
As of now I couldn't find any solution - ankita_g29 11 years ago -
you are going to have to show me the list of contents in that folder (I do not have a crystal ball!) - find anything that has a connection with ABL, search the registry for any keys or appdata folders which the uninstaller will forget to remove. - mattski 11 years ago
