Mozilla FireFox Virtual and Bookmarks

Does anyone have any idea on how to sequence a new version or do a package upgrade on Firefox and retain the bookmarks from the previous version?

I am using App-V 4.5 and needing to upgrade to FireFox 3.0.15, currently on 3.0.14.

Any help would be great.

For Re-Packaging Firefox, you can follow this link:

Hi Goody,

You should be able to do a straight upgrade (using the standard 'Open for Upgrade' process) - I believe that firefox maintains bookmarks etc in a \profiles folder (or similar) which is in the users' profile/appdata area which is excluded from the sequence by default so you may need to modify the exclusions on the sequencer prior to monitoring for this info to be included in the package.

Hope that helps,
Danny

Yes, Danny points in the rite way.

Bookmarks will be stored in User profiles, which will not have any harm by upgrading the application.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
