MSDE 2000 via GPO

All,
I'm trying to deploy MSDE2000 silently via GPOs and am hitting some problems.

I've used ORCA to create an MST which I can silently install fine from the command line with local admin permissions.
However when I try and install this via a GPO I get a nice "Fatal Error" message in the event viewer, and an unhelpful "Stream Error" message in the MSI log.
Does anyone know how to deploy this via GPO? Also does anyone know if it has to be machine or used based? (I've tried both - but ideally I need it user based)

Many Thanks.
Rob.

Rob, you and I know we switched to MSDE 2005 :)

For the record, 2005 is problematic in itself: you can't just use the MSIs, as the main one, SQLRUN, relies on some registry settings which Setup.EXE puts down. We captured those and created a pre-requisite MSI for that purpose. Additionally, you need to run SQLWriter.MSI before SQLRUN. Our deployment goes like this:

- Pre-requisite MSI we created
- SQLWriter
- SQLNCLi
- SQLRun

I'll post this info into the package KB.
