MSI's and Windows 7

If I capture an install on a windows XP PC and build an msi and the capture caught file location inherent to XP like c:\documents and settings\all users\desltop.. is there a way I can modify the msi to look for the os version (Windows 7) and put the files in c:\users\public\public desktop vs the XP locations?

Thanks

Your authoring tool should change the absolute paths to ones which either use Windows Installer properties or, at worst, one containing the relevant environment variable. If it doesn't, you'll need to.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
