Need Help - SoftGrid Questions
Hello all,
We have questions below on SoftGrid that we hope someone can provide the answers.
1. Are there any data or examples or knowledge around whether applications running on SoftGrid can communicate with applications that are NOT running under SoftGrid. For example, we are considering SoftGrid for an application whose printer drivers are installed via another application. Will the application running on SoftGrid be able to find and use the drivers from the other application that exists outside of the SoftGrid platform?
2. We are considering SoftGrid for an application that puts down certain DLL's also used by other applications. Will these other applications be able to see and use the DLLs that are put down by the application running under SoftGrid? If not, what's the workaround?
Regards,
Sam Dole.

Hi,
1. Virtualized application can use all of the locally installed hardware and software.
2. With SoftGrid every application has his own Virtual Environment. In this VE all Files/Registry en System Objects are completly isolated from other Virtual Environments. So DLL's can't be shared between VE's.
