Need Info Regarding CACLS Implementation
Hi All ,
This is an issue regarding setting permissions to a user group "AG_FWG" to use
the applicaiton "FWG".
The conditions are :
Any body can install the application through the MSI Installation.
But only the users of the group "AG_FWG"( not in the administrators group) should be to use the application
installed in the system.
Please help me in setting up the permissions for the user of the group AG_FWG to access the application FWG (not installation).

Are you trying to restrict who can use a locally installed "per-machine" installation of an application through group membership?
If so, it's not a simple matter of locking down the application folder. Although this might make the application unusable, te shortcuts, file associations, and other entry points will still be visible. If someone who's not a member of your group launches the application, they'll get an error message.
