Newbie Adminstudio Template Question
Hello!
I've have worked with a now very old version of Wise (version 4.62). My company's IT department has recently been outsourced which means I have got my hands on Adminstudio 8 so I'm currently setting an environment for it. My question is that in wise you could set a default template in msi format in the sharepoint under the templates folder. Is there a way of importing the MSI into adminstudio (repackager tool) to allow it to be the default MSI template?
Many thanks for your help!

My advice to you is to rebuild it from scratch in Installshield if the task isn't incredibly onerous due to the tables Wise adds.
To use a template in repackager: after the capture, open up the IRP file. Highlight each level of options on the left (including the headers for options), there's a browse box in there for templates. I'm away from my work PC so I can't give you specifics. An AdminStudio template is just a regular project file renamed with the template extension.
To use the Wise one, you'll have to convert the MSI to an installshield project. I don't recommend doing this unless you really have to.
