Nortel Contivity VPN Silent Uninstall

I am trying to create a silent uninstall for Notel Contivity VPN ver4.65. Does anyone have prior knowledge of this uninstall?

Registry:
"C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{EF964A78-078C-11D1-B7A7-0000C0134CE6}\setup.exe\" Uninstall"

Nope, still can't see exactly what your problem is. Is it that you can't make it silent or can't make it uninstall, period? If the former, you could try capitalising the 'S' part of the switch. Some InstallShield-driven EXEs only check for upper-case arguments...

Doug,

With the VPN client installed, if you rerun the seutp executable does it prompt to uninstall, or just install (no mention of being already installed) ?

If it detects that it is already installed and prompts to reinstall/remove etc., you can record another response file to action the uninstall, which you should be able to run silently.

Hope this helps,

Re-running the executable did not prompt for an uninstall.

I did run a uninstall and record a responce file from - C:\"Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information"\{EF964A78-078C-11D1-B7A7-0000C0134CE6}\setup.exe uninstallation -r

I could use some help with the syntax for my batch file.

Your response file looks correct. It matches the one I did for uninstalling 4.65. To do the uninstall, I called
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{EF964A78-078C-11D1-B7A7-0000C0134CE6}\setup.exe with the parameters "uninstall /s"

Ok the uninstall is working now with a response file.

"C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{EF964A78-078C-11D1-B7A7-0000C0134CE6}\Setup.exe" Uninstall /s /f1"c:\contivity.iss"

Thanks for your help!
