Nuance PDF Converter Professional 6.0

Hi ,

Can anyone help on this plzzzzzz....

Im trying to package the application Nuance PDF Converter Professional 6.0. It requires SERIAL NUMBER and I need to package it in such a way that it does not ask for the serial number while installing instead it should ask for the serial number after launching the shortcut.

Thanks,
Dolphin

Is the installation already an MSI?
Have you found where it stores the serial number after the installation has finished?

Yes, this is a vendor MSI.
The serial number is stored in registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ScanSoft\Shared\Products\B309\6.0] and also in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ScanSoft\Shared\Products\P709\6.0].
I tried deleting the CheckSerial Custom action, now it does not ask for serial number while installing the package.
After launching the shortcut there is no option to enter the serial number.

Now after launching the Shortcut it should ask for serial number.how can i do this???

Is this Per-User based license........I dont think so as you referred to HKLM.
You can embed the license in the package.. why do you want it to ask for License on Shortcut Launch

This package is to be installed on many machines, not only to one . only some people will be using it.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
