Online KScript to install Microsoft Junk Email Reporting Add-In for Outlook 2010 works locally, does not remotely. Why?

Hello,

I'm not sure why this problem persists, but it's very annoying. I created the KScript to deploy the Junk email reporting tool to our users.

The KScript works perfectly for local computers at HQ. This is the output log for a local PC:

Running as credntials provided
Directory DOES exist: C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\kbots_cache\packages\kbots\313
Launched Process: msiexec.exe
Running as credntials provided
Running as credntials provided

But at remote sites, while KACE shows that the script was a successful execution, the output log shows the following (Notice the Error code and Status code):

Running as credntials provided
Directory DOES exist: C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\kbots_cache\packages\kbots\313
T
Creating process returned non-zero: C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /i C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\kbots_cache\packages\kbots\313\JunkMailTool32.msi /qb: (0) The operation completed successfully.
Error Code: 0
Status Code: 1619
Running as credntials provided
Running as credntials provided

I'm running the script as a domain administrator. I can't figure out why this script works on the PCs locally but not any of them at our remote sites.

Any help would be immensely appreciated.

I ran in to a similar issue where I had to use the built in Administrator account credentials. - CEIadmin 6 years ago
