Oracle Client 11 g

I'm starting to capture the oracle client using Wise PS.
From the previous articles(& suggestions by senior members of this forum), I do know that this wouldn't be a straight-forward process and its better to make use of oracle response file. Can't help it though, and I have to go by the repackaging method.
At the outset, can you guys please suggest me as to whether I need to do some specific settings in capture or tips before I try the snapshot.
I even tried to search the 'OracleRegFix' & 'OracleMsifix' posted by members, but couldn't find it.
Thanks for your guidance

@Cygs: I have to go by the repackaging method
@WiseAppPackager: Make sure you have pre-installed whatever flavour of JRE the OUI is using before you capture. You don't want that junk in your package.

Also, I recall that when I experimented with packaging 9, more than once I thought WPS had hung during the MSI compilation phase.

It still does. No matter what hardware you're using, it's SLOW!!! So don't give up your hope in the process and be VERY patient.

Thanks for the info.
Well, the MSI is ready and installs fine.
However, though it contains all the shortcuts for the application, it doesn't installs all of them on the system.
Only few of the shortcuts are installed. The install log doesn't give any clue, where to look for issues?

Hi,

Make sure the ODBC entries are captured through registry not ODBC Table otherwise during Installation you would get an error.
Just wanted to let u knw as i had faced the same problem when packaging Oracle 11g.

Cheers
