Package requires local admin rights
I have a package that requires local admin rights to install, and once the install is complete the package no longer requires those rights.
What work around can any one suggest me ?
thanks!

perhapes, i should explain my question better. My package requires local admin rights, and I know I can modify some keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer , but then those values for the keys will remain even if i uninstall the package right?. Basically i need to have this package install with local admin rights and thats it. I can't have those local admin rights remain on the pc.
what can you guys suggest?
thanks!

Usually, the software deployment software takes care of the install using elevated privaleges..
What software do you use to deoploy the software..? GPO's, SMS, or using login script..? Is the porblem that the currently logged on user needs the admin rights, or is any local administrator/domain admin account an option..?

Then read about "InstallShield InstallDriver DCOM Identity problem" at http://www.appdeploy.com/messageboards/fb.asp?m=19850
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
