Suggest that you take up a capturing and creating msi firstNo, no, no, NO, NO!
First, you learn about Windows Installer. THEN you learn the tools, THEN you start practising.
Search AppDeploy for the text (italicised so that you don't search for the name as 'Author') "Phil Wilson". Read ALL the posts you find, as several will point you to support tools which will be indispensable to you as a packager.
Bookmark the 'Windows Installer' section on MSDN: you'll be there a lot.

Suggest that you take up a capturing and creating msi first. Creating Transforms, apply it over msi can be taken up next.
You can dowsnload any simple setup.exe for capturing the files.
