Packaging Signed Drivers failing on install
I have succesfully created packages that contain signed drivers using the Device Driver Wizard of Installshield 11.
However recently I have been having issues.
The package will not complete the install. At about 95% it rollbacks everything. I logged the install and see:
DIFXAPP: Installation failed. Error code 0x80004005.
DIFXAPP: InstallDriverPackages failed.Attempting to rollback ... Error code 0x80004005.
Very frustrating.
Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Check to make sure the driver is signed.
I've had this issue with unsigned mouse drivers. There is a tool for checking the driver signing which is incorporated in the Driver Installation Tools.msi.
More information here:

Hope this helps a bit
