passing an argument command line for the shortcut.

i need to pass an argument command line for the shortcut which points to a file present in the users profile my documents.

I tried it by giving[user profile]...... and so many things but its not working.

The problem with this is that if i installs this application using the admin login then the admins userid set as the userprofile which is not getting changed unless we try to repair the appliction.

so please send me some solutions to this ....need it a lit bit urgently.

hi
how about using an embedded vbscript to get the current users profile and set it as argument to the shortcut your creating (using the same embedded vbscript) instead of the admins profile when using the [PersonalFolder]

hope this helps

I created the vbs and am running an exe from a vbs. if the exe is deleted, auto repair is not happening. if I delete that vbs also then it will repair both vbs and exe.

how are you deploying the application? or do you just login as admin then install the app then let user login again?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
