Password reset
Hi,
I'm new to scripting and need to get a script working with our K1000 unit to reset the local admin passwords of the workstations on our network.
I had tested the net user *username* *password* command on the local machines and it works, but cant get the kace appliance to fire up the command box and successfully run the command.
The alert pops up on the workstation saying a script is about to be run, but nothing else happens. I've configured it to run the local system account.
Below is what I had setup:
Launch “%WINDIR%\System32\cmd.exe†with params “net user administrator newpasswordâ€Â
Any ideas?

Try running the script as a shell script.
Just remember to change the file name from script.sh to script.bat.
