PC does not respond when creating mst file
he guys,
When making a mst file with wps 5.5 install tailor my pc doesnt respond anymore. Has it to do with the application (Mapinfo 8.0 native msi) or.....
This is not the first time. When killing the task, install tailor does make a mst file but not the *.lnk file. Does anybody know if this is a bug???

Exactly the same thing happened with me. Im guessing its a bug.
When starting to generate an MST for this file I got the message that dialogue boxes couldnt be suppressed. Anyone know how to overide this?

msi file is 10 MB and the data file is 95 MB. So i don't think this could be the problem.

I have had a few native MSI packages whitch did this, guess there is something in the package that Wise cannot translate and the system crashes. Try a different approatch like using ORCA to create the transform and then edit it trough Wise afterwards, I have done this a few times with success.

There are many bugs in WISE which are not disclosed try to incooperatefiles more than 300 mb inside the msi and wise would crash but orca won't. The same applies to Install tailor but nowehere its listed. WISE people want to stay WISE in front of cooperates[;)]
