Project 2007 deployment error message
Hi,
This is my very first deployment using the customization tool. I have created the project.msp file and stored it in the updates folder.
For testing purposes I have copied the Project 2007 CD to a network share and used the following to launch:
setup /adminfile updates\project.msp
The installation starts, which was cool but then my heart sank as I got an unexpected error occured. Setup failed. Rolling back changes.
How do I troubleshoot this? is there an error log? Nothing has been reported in event viewer. I have tried deploying to a couple of different XP Pro computers.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
TIA

By default, the new MS set-up stub deposits log files in the %TEMP% folder. The principal log file's name will be defined in the CONFIG.XML file which you hopefully edited. Our file looks like this, with the default at the top and our edited line beneath. Note that the default is commented-out!
