Published Application issue - "access to the path . . . denied"
I have many applications published in our environment via Active Directory Group Policy and have had very few struggles. This one, though, has me stumped. The installation of the program ends with "access to the path C:\Program Files\[application]\[file] is denied". The the installation, of course, fails and rolls back. Here are the details:
Has anyone ever run into this and how to resolve it?
Thanks,
Craig --<>.
- The application is UltiDev Cassisi Web Server for asp.net. It is in navtive .msi format, so I have not repackaged it
- The application is published to a organizational unit of users
- The majority of the users are non admins; when they run the install, it halts with the message I noted above
- Both in the [Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Installer\Always install with elevated privileges] and [User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Installer\Always install with elevated privileges] are set to "enabled" on the Group Policy which holds the published application
- My "All Users" property is set to "2" [Determined by User Access]
Has anyone ever run into this and how to resolve it?
Thanks,
Craig --<>.
