Publishing application with more than one extensions in citrix xenapp 6.5

I have an application which has 5 file extensions profiled in Xenapp 6.5. When i publish the same application on a xenapp server and access it over client, the application launches fine, but, when i save a files with all the extensions supported by the application, i see that those files are assigned only a single icon. For eg. if i have microsoft project 2007 profiled, and then published on a server and later accessed on a client, the application launches fine , but , when i save the files by the extensions .mpp, .mpt, .mpx, .mpd, .mpw, all the files get only a single icon , the icon of the Winproj.exe. But in source all the extensions get different icons. Can somebody please enlighten me on this

In the AppCenter Console, have you right-clicked on the farm and selected "Update File Types" (under "Other Tasks"). This is required for the XenApp farm to know the different extensions that are available for Content Redirection.

    • Yes.......all of them are present in my package......as i previously mentioned in my question, not even a single key has been missed....also the icon exe's are retained in the \Windows\Installer folder. But still my question remains unanswered - talonsprem87 12 years ago
