Questions about applying .MSP patch

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to ask the importance of adding REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus when applying a patch to an MSI.

I wanted to slipstream the .MSP file to .MSI but I'm having an issue of long filenames of MSI after my AIP so I decided to just apply the patch on the next command line of installation.

What will happen if I didn't add those 2 properties? Are there any problems with application functionality?

The patch was successfully applied without those properties. msiexec /p file.msp

Any thoughts on this?
