Re: Clarification required urgent....
Hi.
Can anybody help me with my problem.
I have installed a legacy setup application. but it does not have any shortcuts nor does it have any entry in the add or remove programs. How should i proceed with repackaging the application. The application is creating a folder in C:\ProgramFiles with some files in it.
how should i carry on with the application.
Regards
RUkmender.

Hi,
You can use any repackaging tools Like Wise Package Studio or Admin Studio, do the setup capture if you have already installshield setup.
if the initial setup itself not creating any desktop or start menu shortcust...then probably get the clarifications from the vendor or from the users who were already using in your organization.
They might have created manually when the application was deployed earlier using any custom scripts (Wise, VBScript etc).
You can alays create the shortcuts in Wise package studio or Admin studio or any other repackaging tools.
