Registering files as COM objects in WISE
Long time reader, first time poster.... Got a question for you all:
Packaging Software: Wise Package Studio 5.10
Capture OS (Foundation Class): XP SP2
Situation: Customer wants me to have 2 files - one is a .DLL, the other a .TLB file - registered as a COM object on the workstation. How do I accomplish this within WISE?
I found: http://www.myitforum.com/articles/6/view.asp?id=6106, which gave some good info. I was able to check "Self Register Key Path File Before Compile†and "Rescan Advertising Information During Compile" in the Component Details of both files. When I compile, I then get: "COM Capture Failed :Invalid Pointer".
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

According to this link its a bug. You may need to update to version 5.60 of Wise Package Studio.
