Registry waste

Hi@all

I have repackaged a software (msi).
The software works fine, but after uninstallation some regkey remains.
These regkeys are in my installation (wise 6.2 msi project)
The regkeys do not change after the installation, and there is no security problem.
I have repackaged the software with the same problem. (somtimes wise has damaged my packages)

One regkey is in HKCR\.ADD

The only entry in the uninstallation logfile (l*v) is this one:
MSI (s) (F4:3C) [18:27:36:313]: Executing op: RegOpenKey(,Key=.ADD\AuerSuccess.Druckdatei\ShellNew,,BinaryType=0)

Anyone have a idea ?

greets

frueh

try this
In the msi , go to the registry table and check if you have a + sign, change them to *, this will make sure that entries created on install are removed on uninstall.

+ = "create on install"
* = "Create empty key on install and delete on uninstall"
