remove software from K1000 license compliance

Certain applications/ software in 'license compliance' gives a negative variance when the software is either: a freeware or does not require a license.
I've tried listing Add License > License Mode: Freeware and No Licensing

However, it still shows a negative variance. Is there any way to remove those applications under license compliance or to get rid of the negative variance that appears?

  • I would also like to know this, we have Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar XP showing under our office installs as unlicensed. - prattk 8 years ago
  • Same here. Please let me know if this gets figured out. - anonymous_118891 7 years ago
  • I also have this need. Looks like the software catalog is controlling the state of many applications as being "Licensed" with no way for me to change that for many software that are in fact not licensed (e.g. the GoToMeeting Client, Windows Deployment Services Client, etc..) - dwestness 7 years ago
