Restrict User access to Asset Management based on Role
Please remove if this question has already been answered and direct me to the correct area.
We have several teams that are using Asset Management. However, I want to restrict their access further by only giving them access to the Assets that they manage.
Is this doable and if so how?
Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, there is not that level of granularity to control access to just the assets that the users own.

Hi Kevin, thank you for your suggestion. I have used the link and created a question for the Quest Community. - Frankii 2 years ago
Just create a Role for the Asset Managers, so go to Settings>Roles. You will need to copy the Administrator Role as that gives access to the Admin Console, once you have saved your Asset Management role simply remove the rights for all menu areas other than the ones you wish to give them access to.
Then apply the role to the users you want to have it, so go to Settings>Users find the user account and change the Role drop down to the new Asset Management role.
Done.

Hi Hobbsy. Thank you for your suggestion. I have created roles for various teams. However, they are all able to write and read from the Asset Management tool.
This is because each team has an asset list to manage, i.e. Property, Fleet, Logistics, and Events. Each team should be able to view each other's assets because these assets all relate to each other. However, Events, for example, should not be able to make any changes to the assets managed by Property, Fleet and Logistics. This is the area I want to see if I am able to restrict. - Frankii 2 years ago
