Result Code 3 .iss file
Hi,
I`m new here. and i have a question.
I have a setup.exe and i want to run the exe silent.
so i make a response file with this cmd line: setup.exe /r -f1"(Path to the folder)\setup.iss".
My Problem is now, when i run the installation silent with the iss file.
the log files give me always the Resultcode 3 back. I know what it mean.
but i can´t understand it.
I run the setup.exe on the same machine where i created the response file.
Can anybody help me??

Which commandline are you using when you run the setup.exe ?
First thought is - both the setup.exe and setup.iss should be in the same folder.

thank you for your fast answer.
I used this command line: setup.exe /s -f1"(path to the folder)\setup.iss"
And the setup.iss file is in the same folder as the setup.exe.
I have tried so many things and nothing worked!

If the required info is properly populated in response file, keeping setup.iss in the same folder and executing, 'Setup.exe /S /v/qn' should work.
Few vendor packages have some custom dialogs which are not interpreted by setup.iss file, if the custom dialog is configured to do so.
