Run SMS package from shortcut
Hi guys.
I have converted a Managesoft package to an SCCM 2007 package which has 2 programs in VB Script - the first to install specialised Epson receipt printer software and the second allows the configuration of the printer. The package runs of course with elevated privilege. The config program needs to be used by the end user on an adhoc basis and I would prefer not to have the front counter end-user wasting time with Run Advertised Programs (there will be many to choose from). It would be much simpler to launch from a shortcut and run the privileged application that way. Managesoft provides a launcher to allow this but I cannot see anyway for SMS/SCCM to do this except through RAP. The site has other applications which will benefit from this advice.
Does anyone know how this can be done?

I'm afraid that the only way you are going to be able to run these scripts with elevated permissions using SCCM is to launch it from RAP.
Someone else may be able to help you out with including an encrypted account/password within your vbscripts to run the tasks that you require.
Sorry that it's not better news.
