SAP GUI 7.10 and SAP Front-End on Win7
Hi,
We are trying to repackage the applications SAP GUI 7.10 and SAP front End (BW 3.5 & BI 7.X Add-On) on Windows 7 platform.
Anybody worked on these applications to guide us.
Help is really appreciated,
Thanks in Advance,
Harsha

SAP is easy enough, just large.
Presumably the reference to WIndows 7 is because that particular platform is proving problematic? Have you tried your package on XP? Have you read the Package KB for SAP GUI 7.x?

Thanks for the reply..
I am trying with silent installation now.
I have read articles specified by you VBScab, and also read in one of blogs as SAP declared as "SAP GUI 7.10" is not compatible with Windows 7. As per the blog, SAP is going release 7.20 which is compatible with windows 7 and it will be released in March.
But our users are migrating to Win7. We have to migrate this application as well. We don't have much time to wait till March. This application is working fine in Windows 2000 platform.
We have to migrate SAP GUI 7.10 with "Patch15" and SAP front End with patches.
Should we wait for SAP next release? Or Are there any alternate methods?

Thanks Scazy for suggestion,
I have not tried APP-V for this application but it's not SAP application issue.
Apologies for late update from my side in this forum,
SAP has released official note “sapnote_0001451027†saying
“This is due to security policy in IE8 and not a bug in coding from SAP. We are currently discussing this issue with Microsoft. This note will be updated with proper solution once the issue is fixed and no workaround available so far. Customer has to wait until permanent solution is available.â€Â
Hope so it will be resolved by both ends (Microsoft and SAP ) as soon as possible.
Cheers,
