Scanner Driver Failure.
An in-house product (Virtualized using App-V Seq ) of my company has a scanning functionality for which we use Cannon LiDE 700F. The driver is Canon ScanGear Version: 14.0.2 (Not Virtualized). We are using the standard cable and accessories provided by Cannon with the Scanner. OS: Both XP and W7.
At present the users can, at times, successfully scan 40 documents one after another with no issues. However periodically the application will freeze and after a few seconds display the error- Cannot communicate with scanner.
The temporary solution which the users found out is to unplug the USB of the scanner and re-plug it and it works fine.
Any Help???????
Thanks Arunava

The Scanner.exe where did you get? I just run the installer and put a broken link to my desktop. fisheries throughout the web site has not appeared anything. There are some of the features integrated into the scanner driver software that do not exist with the driver XDP hardware. This corrects potential problems when using Apple's image capture utility with an Epson scanner. This also happens at my current workplace. We have 2 applications, and over 70 scanners. They all have the same issue you are reporting. It has been confirmed that it is not a hardware or driver issue, since we use Fujitsu scanners here, and you are having the same issue with a different brand / driver.

Most of the time scanner driver doesn’t fails. In my case it was the cable which connects the scanner to the computer. If someone doesn’t follow the instruction properly while installing the scanner driver, they might face some problem in future, because in some cases operating system might generate error of scanner’s behalf. The utmost care should be taken while installing the scanner. Another important factor for scanner to run smooth is power supply, most of the times it has been observed that power is directly given from the wall socket, and power fluctuation can cause driver corruption this should be avoided and power should be given through ups.

I did not get the error code definitions, but I found where it is under discussion thread, the thread in favor of the subject to fit a double-shielded USB cable down, very few people have found that by replacing a regular basis and double-shielded from the wrong cure code 2,115,0 and things normaly work on the USB cable.
