SCCM: HP System Management Homepage
Hello,
I'm going up to version 7.5.5 and I'm hoping someone has done this previously.
I was following the steps here creating the iss file:
http://docstore.mik.ua/manuals/hp-ux/en/438862-401/ch05s02.html
I get no errors but I only have the existing version left in Add/Remove Programs.
I was only running this through the command line.
Has anyone successfully completed this?
Regards,
David

if the previous version has been deployed via sccm i would use supersedence to uninstall the existing version prior to the install of the new version, i have never trusted installers performing removals of previous versions of their applications.

I'm afraid this is an initial install on SCCM unfortunately.
Also I have uninstalled the old application before doing this install to see if that made a difference. I have got permission to restart the Server this on tonight and I might repeat the install after this just to make sure there aren't old files remaining. I'll let you know how I get on. - daithi_dearg 8 years ago-
you can create a dumb application in sccm with no media but have the product code of the current application as a detection method, and have the uninstall string and handle it that way, ive had to create these in the past when dealing with non sccm deployed applications - sparky86 8 years ago

I only got around to testing this again now.
I ran this again and I got no errors but it never installed.
Generally when I'd be deploying SCCM packages I'd run whatever command line syntax first to make sure that works. If that's not working I wouldn't think you could set it up in SCCM but if I've misunderstood you please come back to me. I'm away for a week but I can come back to you after this. - daithi_dearg 8 years ago
