Sequencing Services - Process Book

I am trying to sequence an application called process book, when the msi tries to install the service, it comes up with an error saying the service cannot be started. is there a way to sequence applications with services.

One technique might be to use Wise 9 or Rapid Install to make a dumb EXE installer for the application then sequence that. The problem I am having with sequencing services is that services are very hard to troubleshoot in general. The information I found on the topic involves debuggers if the service does not log to the event log or its own log. I want to run dependency walker against a service but I don't know if you can run a service outside of the Windows Service Control Manager so that you can hook alternate debugging tools against it.
