services 2003 vs 2008
I am creating an installer using WIX for an application for windows server 2003 and 2008. Everything works fine on 2008, but my service does not seem to work properly on 2003.
I tried using file.exe /regserver and then everything works, but then I dont see the service in the service management console.
I also tried taking a snapshot of the registry before and after doing /regserver, but /regserver seems to remove keys which I have added, and it also removes keys from HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root
