trythe following

RealPlayer.exe /s /v/qn

user will still have to run through the initial setup and registration. Only option there is to pay for Helix.

No luck with '-s' as detailed in the Software Library for v14? http://www.itninja.com/software/realnetworks/realplayer/14-335

In order to get it to work with SCCM I had to download the installer, run it once on my local machine, cancel the install, and choose to download the alternative installer (not quite sure what the exact language is). I was able to use the /s command with the alternative installer and deploy it with SCCM.

However, anyone know how to get rid of the desktop icon and the EULA at startup? When I was trying to figure out how to silently install realplayer I found a few random forum posts that mentioned registry edits, however they're all for way outdated versions (still could work, I haven't tried them). Although I'd rather management ok just getting rid of this program.

Comments:
  • To remove the desktop icon. Add del /s /q %public%/Desktop/RealPlayer.lnk to your batchfile. The Eula can be removed by writing this reg key: [HKLM\TempHive\Software\RealNetworks\RealPlayer\16.0\Preferences\EulaAcceptedVersion]

    • Thanks. I found a script someone had written to remove all the junk from realplayer 12 and modified it to work with 16. - winterelegy 11 years ago
      • Do you still have that script and could you post it or could you email it to me... tks - Droffig61 11 years ago

Having the same problem. I can get it to install silently locally on any OS, but can't get it to install on Win 7 machines through SCCM. Installs on XP fine either way though.
