simple automated installer
Whats a good program for small application deployment? Basically what I want to do is have my commonly installed apps stored on the server and be able to install/remove them to client machines with my default settings, etc. w/o going thru the setup procedure.
Please suggest diffrent programs. I only have about 40 users.
Thanks in advance,

Hmmnn...
You want your apps preconfigured with your settings and you want a dialog-less install...
The QUICKEST thing I can think of that doesn't require you to repackage your applications is to actually build yourself a "standard" Windows box, and then use Ghost (and then maybe Ghost Explorer and/or Server) to push down this desktop to new machines (or you can just use a network boot disk and have the PCs run Ghost from a network share).
...otherwise, you will have to examine each application you want to push, and see if it has a silent installation option (most DO).
As for customization, again, staying WAY LOW tech (and low cost), you can push down .ini files and other settings files and maybe create and then have these machine import .reg files.
*Note: the complexity of this process is what gave rise to installation applications (like Wise and InstallShield) in the first place.
Good luck to you!
