Slow install on Vista with '/qn' switch
Hi,
We have a device driver installer that has C++ CA (which calls Difx API DriverPackageInstall()), it installs fine on all systems, but on Vista it's significently slow than other systems when '/qn' switche is used in commandline. Log file showed that the delay occurred on the CA call mentioned above.
Does anybody have any idea why '/qn' switch cause that delay?
I read that '/qn' switch may disable UAC on Vista/Win7, but the same install on Win7 didn't have the issue. The only difference is that Win7 has MSI 5.x but Vista has 4.x, could that be the reason? If so, what changes are there from MSI 4.x to 5.x that cause the difference?

Thanks
