SMA detecting software in %WINDIR%\Installer\$PatchCache$
Thanks in advance. Having an issue with my SMA and the software installed/discovered engine detecting software as being installed in the %WINDIR%\Installer\$PatchCache$, specificaly in the case i'm looking at, an old version of acrobat reader. The machine then fails OVAL scans against the old un-patched version of the application.
Would anyone consider this location be one that the software engine shouldnt be scanning? and if so, shouldnt it be factoring the location of the detection in the results of OVAL scans? or should be we scripting somthing to purge this location periodicaly? google seems to think its possibly safe to do so if you have another source of an application in case you need to roll-back?
thanks
