Softgrid 4.1 available for testing!
Microsoft has recently released 4.1 of the Softgrid product. This is more or less the release candidate of the product with the Microsoft changes implemented. Aside from bug fixes you can expect to see reporting being changed from SNMP to the Windows event logger. The reporting mechanism is SQL Server Report Viewer based rather than Crystal Reports, new licensing and you also get a slightly more polished MMC using MMC 3.0 technology. This is essentiality what the Softgrid product will look like for a little while so if you are planning to go with the 4.x stream this is the version to be testing.

If you are currently using Softgrid I would contact your Softricity partner or Softricity/MS directly. If you don't have an existing pilot or relationship with the technology go to Softricity.com to talk to them directly or locate a local partner. Here are the current partners for Sweden.

Have recently been a "Softricity Certified Professional" and starded to use the SMS snap in quite hard, I have found theese issues/bugs?
1)
It seeme like if you have a package with more than one shortcut, you will recieve one SMS program per shortcut in "add remove programs" is this correct? I use ony SMS technique, no Steaming or auth.
2)
Hi all - I´ve been struggling with file ass, if distribute a SG package with SMS, I'll get the file ass. that I specify, but they will NOT be removed during uninstall (still using SMS). If I after that go into SG Client Management, the file ass are still in the list, seems that the only solution is to remove it from here - bug??!!
Solution:
If having the sms package as e real SMS package"Access distribution folder througt common SMS package share" not via a shared folder, the uninstallation works - if running "AllApps_ID_Remove", during remove

Just a quick note that non-English users must be running 4.1.0.56 due to an issue identified with the installer.
