Hi critic,

The only thing changing in standalone mode is the delivery model. The usability of softgrid is exactly the same.
This means that there is no registration of ddls needed.

Hi critic,

as posted on the softgridblog.com there is a good new whitepaper about App-V Application Publishing and Client Interaction as .docx available. Page 17 explained a little bit more about Stand-Alone Mode with MSI.
In generall, the App-V MSI package is filling the local client cache only.
For further details see also the post of Justin Zarb.
