Software manager database (Wises)
Hi All
Sorry if this is not the right place to ask about this. My company has merged with another company and the packages for their desktops have been created off site seperatly to our ones and also our Software manager database (here on I will call SMD). I have been asked about importing their database into our SMD to enable conflict testing etc. Anybody know how to import is it easy? Also does anybody know any pitfalls I should watch out for on importing another database?

A merge using SQL would do it, wouldn't it? Even if one (or both) d/b were Access-based, you could use linked tables to merge it into the SQL flavour.
Your problems will arise out of silly things like naming conventions for packages.
