does this help
http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/fpsupport/searchresults.htm
search for Registration you'll get this
ID#: S-011992 Is there a way to disable the eDrawings Viewer registration screen when eDrawings is started as the free viewer?
Yes and no. Yes the screen can be disabled by going to HKCU\Software\eDrawings\e200x\General\Activated and change the value from 0 to 1. No, because marketing wants this information so do NOT pass along the registry toggle to bypass the registration window.

Hi all,
I added a property called SWINSTALLED and set it to 1.
This (condition) installs the component "ActivationRegistryOff" which contains the key "HKCU\Software\eDrawings\e200x\General\Activated"
I also set this key to key path so it repairs when not present.
To disable updates, add another DWORD key in the same hive called "Update" and set it to "0".
Note that this msi does not repair on opening associated files by default. That has to be built in..
I did it the easy way with an active setup and log off.
Regards
Rickard
