Some application to modify answer files
I have a need to modify already created .mst answer files with something, but I don´t want to start using complicated repacking software enviroments like wise or adminstudio. I tried orca, but I didn´t understand a bit of it. My question is, is there any simplified tools for opening .mst files and modifying parameters?
Currently I have to tasks - for some special application I need to modify license server location, which is written in answer file. For Cisco VPN, I need to enter new certificate information in answer file.

I tried orca, but I didn´t understand a bit of it....in which case, to be frank, you shouldn't be touching it. The FIRST task for any would-be packager is to learn about the tables which underpin Windows Installer technology. Without that knowledge, you can wreak quite a bit of havoc.
Also, if my employer was too cheap to provide proper tools for packagers to do their job, I'd be looking for a different employer. Do you have developers there? If you do, I'll bet they have Visual Studio Express LOL

I don´t blame my employer, I blame my self to be lazy [8D]
Perhaps I just need to setup adminstudio to my self. Only problem is the lack of time, so that´s why I´m asking the short cut for these tasks. Perhaps I should first look into Vistual Studio Express, I bet we have those installations.

Dear God...
My allusion to VS was to wonder whether your company's developers were forced to use free tools. VS won't help you in any way, shape or form in regard to editing transforms.
Your response also points even more clearly to the urgent need for you to learn about WI technology first, before diving in and potentially causing havoc.

Now I got into AdminStudio and WoW it's intresting! I already did some answering file customization succsessfully with Tuner, it was easy!
Since I´m practising, and these applications are only for LAB purposes, I have 2 issues:
1. KMPlayer (14mb size), when building a package after installation recording, it stucks forever at applying modules.
2. uTorrent client, .msi file is build which is aprox same size as original installer, but when launching it, it complains about every missing file, like launch executable.
