Sophisticated Notification System

Hello!

I have an idea I want to try and implement that involves notifications on the user/computer end whenever the computer needs to be serviced by us (IT desk), perhaps every six months.

Currently, I can get a simple notification using the scripting system in the k1000, but the notification only works when the computer is currently online. If the computer is off while the script is run, it will not be notified when the computer is turned on.

Is there a way to set up the notification so that it appears when the computer is turned back online?

I'm on the newest version of the k1 but I'm sure this setting has been available for several versions. I've included a picture but under the "Schedule" of a script is a checkbox for "Run on next connection if offline".

  • I am currently on version 6.3.113397 and don't have that option :/ Do you know which version they introduced this feature? I'm currently looking into upgrading the kbox as it's quite out of date. - thedavejohnson 7 years ago
