Suppress UPDATE menu item in REFERENCE MANAGER 11

Cn someone help me out to suppress/disable help->update button?
I tried checkin registry via picture taker but unsuccessful...

Have you asked the vendor whether the menus can be changed at all? I'd be surprised if they were.

A simpler option might be to block the URL of the update site.

Anyhow for a Network edition of Reference Manager, though the 'Update' menu option is visible to all users it can only be run by an administrator.

I think its too late to reply for ur post.

As far as my knowledge is concerned it should be either a file in appdata or reg keys values that triggers that update n help command when u lauch the shortcut.

Go for picture taker check the registry values properly u might missed some reg which it has a small minor value changes or a file in the appdata folder,possibly a value change in the reg key is a perfect match to supress the value.

To take the picture taker do the following,

1)precapture-Install the app and lauch the shortcut until the pop up comes and then take the capture without giving the yes r no for pop up

Then give yes or no for the pop up or help button

2)Then take the post capture ther u can see the diff which filer r reg changes.
