Has anyone had any success in getting tightvnc 2.02 installed and working with passwords using the Kbox?

Have you tried the K2000 forum? A moderator may well move this thread there.

Comments:
  • Yes. I have using "Distributions". Here is the command string:
    msiexec /i tightvnc-2.7.10-setup-64bit.msi /quiet /norestart ADDLOCAL=Server SET_USEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 VALUE_OF_USEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 SET_PASSWORD=1 VALUE_OF_PASSWORD=<password> SET_USECONTROLAUTHENTICATION=1 VALUE_OF_USECONTROLAUTHENTICATION=1 SET_CONTROLPASSWORD=1 VALUE_OF_CONTROLPASSWORD=<password>

Replace the <password> with your passwords (VN Authentication is what you type to remote a box, Control is to password protect the app). Make sure you change the filename if you use 32 bit. This is current for server 2.7.10 (obviously).

I can't get it to work as a postinstall despite having done an export/import from the K1100 to K2100. - MNBobster 11 years ago
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
