Two entries in ADD/Remove programs

The package I am working on creates two entries in Add/Remove programs. Has anyone seen this issue? Thanks

you'll get this if you've captured the key that the package created, as well as having Wise create an add / remove entry you'll get this. remove the reg keys that create the uninstall entry, set it to not display in installation expert, then compile, then set it back to display in wise, and it should be sorted.

Hi Urban:

Just to add to Duncan's post , you would find the key in this area:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\[productcode]

If you see the key above in the registry details page of your installation expert then delete it. Still you are looking for any more help do get in touch .

The application i'm packaging is Intellisync 5.32. All I did was a standard setup capture. I tried deleting HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\[productcode]
after the snapshot. All that did was delete the remove and repair buttons. After deleting the uninstall registy entires the icon remains in the add/remove programs. The setup capture did not capture HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\[productcode

Hi Urban:

If you could try repackaging it again with snapshot and smartmonitor on , in case it still fails then I would suggest you to create a silent installation using this command line:

c:\setup\setup.exe /s/v/qn or /s only whichever is applicable.

I don't know how much sense this makes, but I installed ISScript8 before I did my capture. That seemed to work.
