Unable to update driver feed or Appliance
Hey all,
I'm back again. Just got a new Kace SDA server up and running. Imported everything I need, but I wanted to test it out before switching over. I went to update the driver feed and appliance, but I'm getting the following error log
[Wed, Oct 23 2019 00:01:15 EDT] [klicensepinger] Error: 7 (7)Error fetching latest drvstr.cfg: ["Error: %s (%s)","Failed to connect to service.kace.com port 443: Operation timed out",7]
update_maintenance_status.php failed: ["Error: %s (%s)","Failed to connect to service.kace.com port 443: Operation timed out",7]
It looks like I'm having issues getting out to service.kace.com. I had a similar issue with our K1000 update, and I believe it just needs setup with our networking team. I'm already had them follow the article listed below.
So traffic should be able to go out over port 80. Any advice?
edit:
Error: Failed to connect to service.kace.com port 443: Operation timed out (7) is showing in update status for Settings > Appliance maintenance.

Go to Support | Troubleshooting Tools in the web UI and select netcat from the drop down menu. Put service.kace.com in the IP Address field and 80 in the port field and click yes. If not successful, that is the issue with the maintenance status as well as driver feed updates.
On the settings - appliance maintenance page does the "License Maintenance Status:" show active?

Thanks for the reply. Sadly, the migration was done because our current appliance is unable to update higher than 5.0.222, so I'm working with an extremely out of date appliance. This license status isn't present on ours.
If I navigate to Settings > control panel > registration and licensing our license key is in place, but under licensing summary the activation status is "Unknown." - Cheecho 5 years ago
I would recommend checking that again with your network team.
Also versions 6.1 or higher, have a couple of built-in tools to assure connectivity with KACE servers.... but since you're not there yet, I would recommend upgrading using offline KBIN files.
and check with support, maybe that license you are using was activated against two or more MAC address, and this new appliance will not be allowed because of that.
They might be able to un-link the old MAC Addresses - Channeler 5 years ago
