Uninstall older Flash versions

I keep reading conflicting information. At one point Adobe recommended uninstalling Flash and provided an uninstall program. That .exe did not work properly for us. Now I see you can run the installer with the -uninstall parameter to uninstall it. Then in one other place I read that the latest 10.xxx installations don't require uninstall.

Do you of you have any suggestions?

Jane

keep up to date with your adobe freebies - reader/flash/shockwave/air we distribute by group policy and remove by group policy. apply for a distribution licence through the adobe site and they'll send you links to msi installers.

add 'em to a GPO for your machines bish bash bosh, auto install and remove as required.

oh,btw i just uninstalled the various flashes out there through add/remove program before i started in this manner. perhaps someone with a bit of scripty experience maybe able to help uninstall en masse if you've an overly large network to do manually, infact there's a section in the "notes" here http://itninja.com/link/adobe---player-licensing on scripting the uninstall with the utility you mention. look for Entry Provided on 9/19/2006 by MooreJD

if you can't uninstall coz the installation is knackered give revouninstaller a whirl!
